General Perry Benson Chapter Celebrates 40th Anniversary

The General Perry Benson Chapter recently celebrated their 40th anniversary as a Chapter in the Maryland State Daughter’s of the American Revolution.  At their May luncheon, held on the 11th of May 2005, at the Talbot Country Club, Easton, Maryland, many members and honored guests took part in a lovely luncheon.  Included in the program was a welcome to new members and transfers, memorials for those members lost this past year and recognition for those celebrating membership milestones.  This was also the time that new officers were installed for the 2005-2007 term.

This Chapter was formed on April 17, 1965.  Since inception, there have been three other Chapters that have united with the General Perry Benson Chapter.  The Colonel William Richardson Chapter, Denton, Maryland in 1985, Major Samuel Turbutt Wright Chapter, Centreville, Maryland in 1987 and the Dorset Chapter, Cambridge, Maryland in 1995.

This combined group has developed into a strong and dynamic Chapter.  Here are a few of the Chapter’s accomplishments:
